Rollout continuwuity server in kubernetes

Install

  1. make a new repo for your installation, e.g. `my-matrix-service``

  2. add this repo as submodule: git submodule add https://gitlab.pflaeging.net/pflaeging-net-public/matrix-continuwuity-k8s.git base

  3. copy the content of base/instancetemplate to your root: cp base/instancetemplate/* .

  4. edit env and kustomization.yaml:

    • set the correct hostname
    • set parameter as you wish
    • optional let create you a namespace, ...

  5. applyrollout with: oc apply -k . or kubectl apply -k .

Configuration

  1. Take Element-X as Client and register a new account with the matrix server that has your hostname from above.
    You get your token by looking in the server log:
    kubectl logs -l app.kubernetes.io/name=continuwuity
  2. This is your admin account. After this you can create and administer your server within the admins channel (look at https://continuwuity.org/reference/admin/index.html)
